I am an attending emergency physician.

feel most at-home in my scrubs, working everywhere from the busiest urban emergency rooms in the nation to underserved community hospitals. I’ve held various hospital leadership positions during my career, and currently serve as Medical Director for the city of Odessa, Texas. The face of emergency medicine constantly changes, and I’m driven to stay at the forefront of this specialty.

Based on my strong clinical record, I was selected by the International Association of Healthcare Professionals to represent emergency medicine in their publication, “The Leading Physicians of the World” and earned recognition in “Guide to America’s Top Emergency Medicine Physicians” for the last several years.

I was selected as one of “America’s Health Care Leaders” by the American College of Emergency Physicians and Health Leaders Magazine, and recognized by the American College of Emergency Physicians as one of the “Heroes of Emergency Medicine” of the last 40 years.

Born to be Dr. Bose

Since the beginning it was clear I was meant to be a doctor. I was accepted into medical school directly out of high school through the Honors Program in Medical Education at Northwestern University, getting my MD at 25.

At the age of 28, I achieved the nation’s top score on the American Board of Emergency Medicine In-training Examination, a test required of every medical resident in the United States. I was also named an Assistant Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at Texas A&M, making me one of the youngest medical school professors in the country.

I currently practice as an attending emergency physician and Medical Director in Odessa, Texas. When I’m not in the ER, I teach as a clinical professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and as an associate professor at the University of Illinois.

Trusted Health Correspondent

Logging over 1000 media appearances, I’m frequently featured in the media as a medical expert, including hit worldwide reality tv show Untold Stories of the ER, co-hosting weekly health segment “Your Eye on Health” on CBS News, and appearing as a guest on Dr. Oz. Other appearances include CNN, MSNBC, and several local news affiliates.

In these circumstances, I refined my ability to motivate teams and manage crises. Because I often lacked traditional resources and time, I learned how to quickly develop creative solutions to challenges.
